Seoul, the hub of Asia, and its central comprehensive trade business bridge, the Trade Center Office
The Trade Center, located in the heart of the city, is a large mixed-use complex through which countless people and businesses pass every day. We think deeply about how this vast flow affects the urban environment, and we are building operating practices through which sustainability can be realized even within the city.

The Trade Center receives 7,000 RT of water-source thermal energy—the largest scale in Korea—and uses it for cooling and heating, putting the shift to clean energy into practice. As a result, the share of clean energy at the Trade Center has risen to 32%, which has the same effect as planting about 670,000 trees every year.

The Trade Center operates a geothermal system that uses stable underground temperatures and solar facilities that convert sunlight into electricity. Through this, about 2.08 million kWh of electricity is converted to clean energy each year. This is equivalent to the amount of energy used by more than 600 households in a month, raising operational efficiency while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Through FMS (Facility Management System), the Trade Center monitors electricity and heat-source use in real time and optimizes energy use across the entire building. This reduces greenhouse gas emissions while also improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Our energy management system makes each day at the Trade Center more sustainable.

Through these efforts, our Trade Center reduces carbon emissions by about 2,912 tons per year—a level similar to the carbon emitted by about 630 cars over one year. We pursue responsible operations that value the environment, keep pace with the era of carbon reduction, and contribute to the transition to clean energy.

As a large mixed-use facility, the Trade Center generates a large amount of waste every day. We work with specialist partners to sort and manage it systematically for environmental protection and maintain these practices. Each practice in waste management becomes a solid foundation for a sustainable environment.

The Trade Center operates a greywater facility that treats wastewater from the buildings and reuses it for toilet flushing, cooling water, and other purposes. Through this, 500 tons of wastewater are recycled per day. Together with water-saving fixtures, potable water use has been reduced by about 69%. This is equivalent to the water saved by about 233 households in one year.

We have built and operate a large-scale electric vehicle charging station with 53 spaces so that tenants and visitors can use greener modes of travel more conveniently, supporting a sustainable mobility culture in the city center.

We operate secure bicycle parking so that staff and visitors can travel conveniently by bicycle, and we encourage eco-friendly commuting in the city center.
